This year Selsport have decided to completely overhall our very popular flat palm bone protection glove. Bridging the gap between flexibilty and protection the Wrappa Protect FP has been finely engineered to avoid costly restriction. The glove also houses an extra strong yet lightweight finger stick protection system which can be modified to your own customised preference, developed to help avoid hyperextension.

The Protect FP incorporates Ultra Supasoft – A tried and tested latex still widely accepted as the pro’s choice.

3mm "impact' embossed grooved latex offers optimum flexibility and protection.

Selsports wrist strap is technically advanced by offering a unique 3 point locking system.

The Protect FP features a more traditional Flat palm cut, external stitching offers the keeper increased ball to hand coverage.

An easy access panel opening allows you the option of removing finger sticks to customise Selsport’s protection system to your individual needs. The Bones help minimise the chance of hyper extension of the fingers.

Remember - getting your size right is important, but if you aren’t totally happy with the size of the products you order after receiving them, just post them back to us with the product and packaging in their original condition and we’ll send you a size that you prefer.

Goalkeeper Gloves Size Guide (see below for clothing sizes)

Every goalkeeper is different – size depends on how much room you like in your gloves.

Choosing gloves that are the right size for you depends on how tight or loose fitting you like your gloves. Jorge Campos of Mexico, for example, was well known for wearing massive gloves in comparison to the rest of his body. Other keepers, like Peter Shilton, are known to have preferred tight fitting gloves.

Don’t buy gloves that are too big just because they are the “pro” gloves.

We always advise our goalkeepers - and particularly parents of young goalkeepers – that the most important thing in glove sizes is making sure that your gloves aren’t too big. Gloves that don’t fit make it hard to catch. In our opinion, young keepers under the age of 11 should generally be choosing goalkeeper gloves not bigger than size 6.

The most common adult sizes are generally 8 to 10.

Most professional goalkeepers choose gloves ranging from sizes 8 to 10.

Generally, average height players tend to choose sizes 8 to 9, and the bigger guys wear sizes 9 to 11. The sizes most keepers go for are summarized in the table here:
